But there are also significant challenges facing our City due to the housing market and industrial development which is being driven by the Inland Port. Located just south of Lula near White Sulfur Road, this freight terminal will transfer containers from trains to trucks and back again. This means reduced shipping costs for industry and businesses in our area and more truck traffic on our roads. How much truck traffic? HUNDREDS of trucks per day!
Is our City Council making progress to deal with this? Not fast enough!
